Yes. Adding friends, creating groups, splitting bills, tracking balances, My Hisab, exporting to Excel or PDF and asking Ask OweMe about your own data are all free, with no ads.
No. You can add a friend by name and start splitting straight away, then send them an invite link whenever you like. When they join, their history is already there.
When you add an expense, choose how to split it: equally, by exact amount, by percentage, by shares, or item by item for a restaurant bill.
Open the friend or group and tap Settle. OweMe opens your UPI app with the payee and amount filled in, and records the payment once you confirm. For a whole group it suggests the fewest payments.
Yes. Groups give every trip or flat its own shared feed, balances and suggested settlements. Trip Mode tracks spending against a shared budget, and recurring expenses handle rent and wifi every month.
My Hisab is a private cash in and out ledger for your own money, kept completely separate from your friend balances. It has its own categories and receipt photos.
Yes. OweMe is a web app that you can add to your home screen from your browser. It opens like an app and works with patchy data.
Connections are encrypted and passwords are hashed. You can lock the app with a PIN or your fingerprint or face. Contacts and camera are off until you turn them on. Read our Privacy Policy for the details.
Yes. You can download any ledger as Excel or PDF, and you can delete your account yourself from Me. Privacy requests are answered within 30 days.
