Uneven splits
Split 50/50, by share, or by exact amount.
Private by default
Only the two of you see it.
Gentle reminders
A kind nudge instead of an awkward message.
Money is easier when it is visible
Couples rarely fight about large amounts. They fight about the feeling that one person is always the one remembering, paying or chasing. A shared, honest record removes that. OweMe keeps a quiet running tally of who paid for what, so you can see the balance whenever you like and nobody has to keep score in their head.
Split in the way that fits you
Not every couple splits fifty fifty. Some split by income, some alternate who pays, some keep groceries shared and everything else separate. OweMe lets you divide an expense equally, by exact amount, by percentage or by shares, so a ratio like sixty forty is one tap, not a calculation each time. Recurring bills such as rent, internet and subscriptions can repeat on their own.
Private by default
Only the two of you see the shared ledger. For your own spending, My Hisab is a separate private ledger that no one else can open, so personal purchases and gifts stay personal. That separation is often what makes shared tracking feel comfortable instead of intrusive.
Settle up without the awkward conversation
When the balance gets large enough to matter, settle with a UPI payment from inside the app and the tally goes back to zero. If one of you forgets, a gentle nudge is a kinder reminder than a message that starts with "you still owe me". The goal is a calm two minute check in once a month, not a negotiation.
Is OweMe free?
Yes. Splitting, tracking and settling up with friends is free, with no ads.
Do my friends need the app?
No. You can add people by name, and invite them with a link whenever you like.
