Stop Re-Picking the Same Five People: Favorite Groups
Save a group of friends and a default split type as a Favorite Group on OweMe, so starting a new shared expense is one tap instead of re-picking everyone.
If you split expenses with the same four roommates or the same trip crew constantly, selecting them one by one every single time is exactly the kind of repetitive step that shouldn’t exist.
Save it once
After picking who’s splitting an expense, there’s an option to save that exact group with a name — "Roommates," "Goa Squad," whatever fits. It remembers the people and, optionally, the split type you usually use with them.
One tap, every time after
The next time you add an expense, your saved groups show up as chips right at the top. Tap "Roommates" and everyone’s selected instantly, with their usual split type already set.
How this differs from Trip Mode
Trip Mode is a heavier, stateful thing — a real shared budget pool tracked over an actual trip. A Favorite Group is much lighter: just a saved shortcut for who’s in the group, nothing tracked beyond that. You can even use a Favorite Group to quickly add expenses inside a trip.
